Microalgae Culture Medium Recycling: Improved Production of Biomass and Lipids, Biodiesel Properties and Cost Reduction

In this article, published in ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต (Impact Factor = 2.8), we demonstrate how it is possible to reduce production costs, increase microalgae biomass production and lipid content by reusing the culture medium. In addition, we analyzed the changes in the composition of lipids in the production of biodiesel.
